The Forsaken Saintess and Her Foodie Roadtrip in Another World Episode 10 Recap: Rin Meets Ville and Finds a New Path

Rin’s peaceful solo adventure takes an unexpected turn when she rescues a stranded adventurer, reveals her secret camper van, and accepts a life-changing offer.

The episode 10 of The Forsaken Saintess and Her Foodie Roadtrip in Another World starts with Rin enjoying one of her favorite outdoor activities: fishing and cooking for herself. Once a caregiver and now an acupuncturist, Rin has always enjoyed solo camping trips where she gathers ingredients and prepares her own meals. Her relaxing afternoon changes when something enormous bites her fishing line. Expecting a huge fish, she pulls with all her strength and ends up catching Ville, a member of the Dragoul clan.

Ville explains that he was adventuring alone when a monster stole his luggage while he was bathing. His equipment survived, but all his food was eaten. Growing desperate from hunger, Ville recklessly searched for something else to eat and eventually fell into a river. The current swept him away until he ended up at Lake Real. Rin is relieved that Ville survived. She shares her freshly caught milk trout with him, and the two enjoy the delicious fish together. The meal immediately establishes one of the episode’s strongest themes: Rin’s ability to turn a dangerous situation into a comfortable outdoor dining experience.

Ville soon becomes concerned about Rin’s lack of caution. She has just met him but willingly gives him food and helps him without hesitation. Rin explains that her skill did not detect any danger from him, and his polite behavior also convinced her that he was trustworthy. When Rin notices that Ville’s clothes are still soaked, she uses Wash and Dry to clean and dry them. Ville is amazed by the everyday magic. Rin, meanwhile, becomes curious about magic and eventually reveals the truth about her origins.

Rin explains that she was summoned from another world through the Saintess Summoning. Ville knows the legend, which says that a saintess from another world can purify monsters and restore peace. Rin’s experience was very different. She was summoned alongside a beautiful high school girl who was treated as the saintess, while Rin was dismissed as someone with worthless skills.

A prince-like figure insulted Rin before a young mage used magic to send her away. She eventually woke up at Lake Real and decided to test her new abilities while surviving on her own. Ville immediately recognizes how cruel Rin’s treatment was. He also notices that her equipment is completely different from anything found in his world. Rin remains surprisingly calm because one of her abilities, Survival Strategy, allows her to survive physically and mentally in almost any environment.

The skill also provides Rin with knowledge about the world and warns her about potential dangers. Ville is amazed because adventurers would consider such an ability extremely valuable. Rin, however, believes her other skill is even more unusual. She introduces Camper Van Mo. A huge camper van suddenly appears, shocking Ville. Rin explains that Mo is normally invisible to other people unless she specifically allows them to see it. Inside, the vehicle contains a kitchen, refrigerator, storage space, water supply, and other conveniences.

The most remarkable feature is its storage system. Items can be stored and retrieved freely, while supplies automatically replenish after being consumed. Rin explains that the system appears to convert mana from the surrounding environment into usable resources. Because the world contains abundant mana, her supplies can effectively continue indefinitely. Mo can also produce magical water, while wastewater and garbage are converted back into mana. Ville realizes that Rin’s supposedly worthless ability could provide an enormous logistical advantage, potentially supporting an entire army. Rin has no desire to participate in war, though, and believes her summoners simply failed to understand what her skill could actually do.

With Ville keeping watch outside, Rin prepares dinner. Ville contributes Almiraj meat, obtained from a horned rabbit-like monster. Rin turns the unusual ingredient into a delicious rice dish. She also prepares Italian-style sashimi using fish, olive oil, and wild herbs. Ville is overwhelmed by the quality of the food. He admits that he never expected to eat something so delicious while camping in the wilderness. Rin insists that her cooking is ordinary, but Ville quickly asks for another serving.

The conversation leads to a major opportunity for Rin. Ville explains that his adventuring party is terrible at cooking, even though good meals are one of the biggest sources of happiness during difficult quests. Food can also affect the entire group’s morale. Since Rin has no money, identity card, or job in this world, Ville offers her a position as the party’s cook and porter. He promises a generous reward and help obtaining an identity card. He also assures Rin that the party contains both men and women and will protect her while she builds a new life.

Most importantly, Ville wants to help Rin because she showed kindness to a stranger and saved his life. Rin is deeply affected by his sincerity. Looking at the two moons in the sky, she realizes just how far she is from home. She knows almost nobody in this world, but meeting Ville makes her wonder whether their encounter was destined to happen. The following day, Rin accepts the offer and officially decides to join Glutton’s Table. She agrees to handle the group’s food and luggage despite still being inexperienced with adventuring.

Before leaving for Elrage, Rin wants to collect some wild parsley. Ville initially thinks she is planning to eat grass, but Rin explains that she uses the herb as a flavoring. She also warns him about a poisonous plant that looks almost identical to the edible parsley. Fortunately, Survival Strategy can distinguish between them. Ville once again points out how valuable Rin’s ability is. What she considers an ordinary survival skill gives her an advantage that experienced adventurers would love to possess.

Ville then introduces Rin to the members of Glutton’s Table. The party consists of four people: Ville, a heavy warrior; Ed, a magical alchemist; Aria, a Spider-Woman who specializes in reconnaissance and controls spider silk; and Senon, an elf priest. Aria is also Ed’s wife and shares Ville and Rin’s enormous appetite. Rin is excited about meeting Senon because her love of TRPGs has always given her a fascination with fantasy characters and elves. However, their peaceful preparations are interrupted when Rin’s Survival Strategy identifies a useful fruit called Ruleberry.

Almost immediately afterward, a Giant Crow appears. Rin realizes that she cannot blindly depend on her skills when the warning system fails to react as expected. The monster attacks, leaving Rin terrified, but Ville quickly steps in and protects her. Afterward, Rin apologizes for using her abilities recklessly. Ville reassures her that she will not have to face danger alone anymore. As a member of Glutton’s Table, she will have experienced adventurers watching her back.

The encounter also teaches Rin more about the world’s monster system. When monsters are defeated, they can leave behind useful materials, including meat. Rin realizes that this explains how Ville obtained the meat he gave her for dinner. With their preparations finished, Rin and Ville finally set off for Elrage in Mo. Ville is amazed by the camper van’s speed and comfort. The journey that could take three days on foot can be completed in less than three hours by vehicle.

However, Mo’s invisibility creates a problem. Rin worries about accidentally hitting people or monsters as they approach the city, where more adventurers and merchants will be traveling. Ville suggests taking a mountain route instead. Although the road is rougher, it provides a direct shortcut and allows them to avoid crowded areas. Even on the mountain path, Mo handles the rough terrain with surprising ease. But their journey is soon interrupted when Survival Strategy sends Rin another warning.

A Fire Bear appears, despite the monster being unusual for the area. Rin briefly thinks about the possibility of turning it into bear meat before remembering that the creature is literally covered in flames. The situation becomes even more serious when the Fire Bear damages Aria’s spider thread. Ville immediately becomes furious at the monster for hurting his party member. Rin then realizes that the adventurers fighting the creature are none other than Aria, Ed, and Senon, the other members of Glutton’s Table. Ville tells Rin to stay back while he joins his companions. Confident that the party can handle the monster, he prepares to fight the Fire Bear.

The Forsaken Saintess and Her Foodie Roadtrip in Another World Episode 10 is a charming turning point for Rin, balancing cozy food scenes, fantasy world-building, comedy, and the promise of a new adventure. Her meeting with Ville feels natural because their relationship develops through kindness, food, and mutual trust rather than forced drama. The episode also does a great job revealing just how valuable Rin’s supposedly “worthless” abilities really are, especially Survival Strategy and Camper Van Mo, which provide safety, transportation, storage, food, water, and an almost limitless supply system. Ville’s offer to make Rin the cook and porter of Glutton’s Table gives her a believable way to build a life in this unfamiliar world, while the introduction of Aria, Ed, and Senon sets up an exciting new group dynamic. The Giant Crow encounter reminds Rin that even her skills have limits, and the final Fire Bear confrontation adds the action needed to push the story into its next chapter. Overall, Episode 10 successfully combines relaxing foodie moments with meaningful character development and ends on an appealing cliffhanger as Rin finally meets the adventurers who may become her new family.
