Alicia's struggle to understand the shifting doors gives the episode a puzzle-like structure, while the discovery surrounding Milea and the Allozar bloodline raises the emotional stakes. The episode also does a good job of connecting the labyrinth to the larger mystery surrounding the five gates, the Book of the Village of Origin, Drel, and the true hero. The reunion with Tygel and Leon adds a welcome character moment before the episode quickly returns to danger, and the final sequence involving the mirrored floor provides an effective cliffhanger. Most importantly, Alicia finishes the episode with more knowledge but no real safety, leaving her trapped deeper inside a place whose rules she is only beginning to understand. Overall, Episode 9 is a strong lore-focused installment that expands the mystery while keeping Alicia's survival at the center of the story.
