According to data compiled by industry tracker Wrestlenomics, the September 9 broadcast—a special "Rebel Heart" themed edition dedicated to AEW performer Rebel—drew an average of 571,000 viewers. This represents a decline of nearly 30 percent from the previous week's broadcast on September 2, which attracted 796,000 viewers.
The total audience delivery fell well below the program's recent baseline. Ahead of the broadcast, the four-week rolling AEW viewership average for the show stood at 708,000.
Key Demographic Metrics Decline
A similar downward trend emerged within the highly scrutinized 18-49 age demographic, which advertisers prioritize. The September 9 episode registered a 0.10 rating in this key metric, down from the 0.15 rating achieved during the September 2 broadcast.
The demographic performance also tracked lower than the established four-week average of 0.14 recorded prior to the broadcast.
The sudden audience contraction interrupts a steady growth period for the promotion over the summer months. The AEW Dynamite ratings and viewership had been climbing consistently from a low point of 634,000 at the beginning of July. That upward momentum peaked on September 2 with the post-All In episode, which marked the highest total audience of that sequence.
In terms of demographic percentage, the summer peak occurred during the August 26 "go-home" broadcast leading into the All In pay-per-view event, which secured a 0.18 rating.
