The movie starts with a tense conversation on a luxury yacht in the sun-drenched waters of coastal Thailand. A group of recent college graduates is celebrating one final summer vacation together before facing adult responsibilities.
Max, a deeply controlling and hyper-assertive social climber, is aggressively planning the group’s future. She boasts about landing a high-profile corporate job in Los Angeles and demands that her lifelong best friend, Sara, abandon her hard-earned career plans in New York to follow her to the West Coast. The horror shifts from psychological tension to physical survival in the Skeleton Cave, an ancient burial ground where a shifting limestone ceiling makes every sound dangerous. The group's loud antics cause a minor cave-in, and a sharp piece of loose limestone slices deep into Adrienne's leg. The sudden sight of pooling blood completely triggers Greg, who suffers a severe panic attack rooted in childhood trauma.
