The episode 4 of Daemons of the Shadow Realm starts with Hana welcoming Yuru and Dera into her home after bringing them down from the mountain. The intense search overwhelms Yuru's body, leaving him dizzy and sick after being carried at incredible speed. Even so, the effort pays off. Left and Right suddenly identify a location where the smell of Yuru's blood perfectly matches the presence of several daemons. Although the discovery excites Yuru, he first wonders whether these unknown creatures might be peaceful like Oshirasama. Right quickly warns him that daemons differ greatly from one another, explaining that some cannot even communicate through reason, making blind trust extremely dangerous.
At almost the same moment, Jin continues investigating the twins' whereabouts through his own network. His informants confirm suspicious activity connected to Tadera, while Jin realizes that if he has detected Yuru's trail, Left and Right have almost certainly sensed his group's presence as well. Both sides are unknowingly closing the distance, with each relying on extraordinary tracking abilities rather than simple chance. The inevitable confrontation grows closer with every passing minute.
Yuru suddenly catches the familiar scent of Asa and immediately rushes toward it without hesitation. His emotions overwhelm his judgment, but Left quickly notices that the scent is old rather than fresh. Before Yuru can understand the warning, hidden enemies spring their carefully prepared trap. Hana realizes Yuru would only head somewhere so distant if he believed it would lead him closer to Asa.
Meanwhile, Jin calmly explains the reasoning behind his elaborate trap. He expected the people of Higashi Village to retaliate after the previous attack, so he intentionally prepared bait for anyone investigating the Kagemori Clan. Capturing Yuru instead exceeds his expectations, giving him direct access to the twin he had been searching for. Even while restrained inside the enormous fish-like daemon, Yuru remains calm and immediately calls for Left and Right, trusting them without hesitation.
The Kagemori warriors attempt to intimidate Left and Right by threatening Yuru's life, assuming the daemons will immediately surrender to rescue their master. Instead, Left and Right completely ignore the hostage situation and continue advancing. Their unconventional relationship leaves the Kagemori members utterly confused because they are accustomed to daemons obeying human commands. Yuru casually accepts their strategy as well, explaining that everyone simply performs the role they believe is best.
The confrontation quickly erupts into battle. Yuru warns his companions to watch out for the enemy weapons, forgetting that Left and Right possess stone bodies capable of shrugging off ordinary attacks. The Kagemori fighters unleash a variety of specialized weapons and daemon abilities, attempting to overwhelm the pair with coordinated assaults. At first, Left and Right dismiss the attacks as insignificant, believing their natural durability will allow them to bulldoze straight through the enemy defenses.
That confidence proves misplaced when the enemy reveals heavier equipment capable of pinning even the stone-bodied daemons. Right becomes trapped beneath the crushing weight while Left is immobilized elsewhere, creating one of the episode's funniest exchanges as both complain about being unable to move despite their earlier confidence. Their humorous arguments briefly interrupt the battle, but they also create the opening Yuru needs to act on his own without relying entirely on his companions.
