A new romance with a wildly unconventional twist is heading to TV. The Wound and Bandage has officially been confirmed for a January 2027 premiere, with J.C.STAFF leading the animation and Miyuki Ishida directing.
The adaptation will air across Japan on ABC TV and TV Asahi's ANiMAZiNG!!! block. Alongside the announcement, two teaser visuals debuted, highlighting the series' sweet romance and its eccentric "Yowarer" obsession.
Based on Umihoshi Nanai's Kodansha manga, the story follows yakuza lieutenant Kiriya and boss's daughter Riyo, whose unusual attraction to seeing powerful people weakened fuels one of the most talked-about romantic comedies online. Fans can also read nearly the entire manga free on Comic DAYS from July 13–16.
