Perfect World (Wanmei Shijie) Episode 5 Recap: Ancient Lion Power, God's Rescue and Xiao Budian's New Companion

Perfect World (Wanmei Shijie) Episode 5

Just when Xiao Budian reaches the greatest breakthrough of his young life, the entire Great Wilderness collapses into chaos. Ancient beasts clash for legendary treasures while Stone Village faces extinction in one of the series' most emotional episodes.

The episode 5 of Wanmei Shijie starts with Xiao Budian continuing his dangerous refinement inside the ancient heritage cave. While his body absorbs the essence of the Ancient Lion, the village elders patiently guard him, believing that completing the refinement will greatly strengthen his cultivation. Even more valuable than the lion's essence is the hidden inheritance left behind by the Ancient Lion itself. The elders believe Xiao Budian possesses enough talent to comprehend these sacred techniques once the refinement is complete.

Outside the cave, however, an even greater disaster is unfolding. Across the Great Wilderness, powerful ancient beasts sense the birth of the mysterious Mountain Treasure. Legendary creatures, including the terrifying Qiong Qi, immediately rush toward the treasure, each determined to claim it before anyone else. Their overwhelming spiritual pressure alone is enough to shake the surrounding mountains.

The battle for the Mountain Treasure quickly becomes a war between ancient overlords. Temporary alliances are proposed, but trust is impossible among creatures driven by greed. One beast even suggests splitting the treasure equally, only to be mocked because betrayal has always been its true nature. Their conversation makes it clear that no alliance can survive once the treasure finally appears.

As more powerful creatures arrive, their ambitions become increasingly cruel. Instead of simply competing for the treasure, they decide to erase every witness from existence. Massive flames spread throughout the wilderness as they plan to burn forests, mountains, and every living creature that might discover the treasure's location. Their goal is simple: fewer survivors mean fewer future competitors.

Not everyone accepts this massacre. A powerful figure suddenly appears and condemns their plan to slaughter innocent races across the Great Wilderness. A fierce confrontation begins as overwhelming attacks shake the entire region. The struggle between these legendary beings sends devastating shockwaves across the land, triggering earthquakes, collapsing mountains, and awakening volcanic eruptions.

Back at the heritage cave, the Stone Village elders immediately realize something is terribly wrong. The cave begins collapsing while the surrounding landscape violently trembles. Volcanoes erupt one after another, and everyone understands that the Great Wilderness itself may soon disappear.

At this desperate moment, the village receives help from their greatest guardian—God Liu. Sensing the approaching catastrophe, God Liu opens a mysterious transportation pathway capable of moving the entire Stone Village away from danger. Every second becomes precious as the villagers rush to gather everyone before the disaster reaches them.

The village chief faces an impossible decision. Although everyone must evacuate immediately, Xiao Budian remains trapped inside the medicinal furnace at the most critical stage of refinement. Interrupting the process could permanently destroy his cultivation or even cost him his life. Because of this, the chief refuses to move the furnace despite the collapsing cave around him.

Knowing the danger, the chief orders the villagers to leave without him. He calmly announces that if he fails to return, Ahu should become the next village chief. His willingness to sacrifice himself highlights the responsibility he carries for both Xiao Budian and Stone Village. Although everyone hesitates, they obey his order and retreat toward God Liu's transportation formation.

Only the chief and Ziyun remain beside Xiao Budian. They desperately stabilize the medicinal furnace while rocks crash around them. Their only hope is to buy enough time for Xiao Budian's refinement to finish before everything collapses.

Inside the furnace, Xiao Budian experiences something extraordinary. He senses the complete essence of the Ancient Lion merging into his body. Instead of merely strengthening his physical abilities, the inheritance awakens tremendous hidden potential that dramatically increases his overall power.

At last, the refinement succeeds.

Xiao Budian opens his eyes feeling stronger than ever before. His first reaction is excitement as he proudly tells his grandfather that the refinement worked perfectly. However, his joy quickly disappears when he notices the destruction surrounding him. The once peaceful heritage cave has nearly collapsed, forcing everyone to escape immediately.

Even during the evacuation, Xiao Budian refuses to abandon the ancient medicinal furnace. Although carrying it slows their escape, he insists that it is a priceless ancestral treasure that deserves to be protected. Together with Ziyun, he struggles to carry the heavy furnace through the collapsing ruins.

As they finally escape the cave, Xiao Budian witnesses the horrifying state of the Great Wilderness. Countless mountains have crumbled, forests burn uncontrollably, and the entire landscape appears almost unrecognizable. The destruction leaves him speechless.

Fortunately, they arrive just in time to enter God Liu's transportation formation before total collapse. In a brilliant flash, Stone Village disappears from the doomed Great Wilderness and arrives safely in an entirely new location.

The villagers awaken surrounded by beautiful lakes, lush forests, and peaceful scenery unlike anything they expected. At first, many wonder whether they have died because the new land looks almost too perfect to be real. Their confusion quickly turns into celebration after realizing they survived thanks to God Liu's protection.

Despite their relief, sadness remains. The village chief reminds everyone that Stone Village was born in the Great Wilderness, and generations of their ancestors lived there. Losing their homeland feels like losing a part of their identity. Nevertheless, the villagers gradually accept that home is not simply a location but the people who live together.

The new land also offers hope. Clean water, abundant fish, fertile surroundings, and a peaceful environment promise a better future for the younger generation. The chief decides they should remain there until someone confirms whether the Great Wilderness can ever become habitable again.

While everyone begins rebuilding their lives, Xiao Budian cannot stop thinking about his parents. He worries they may return to Stone Village searching for him after the disaster. If they find only ruins, they will never know where the villagers have gone.

Ignoring the danger, Xiao Budian asks permission to return to the destroyed village. His determination surprises the elders, but they recognize how much he has matured. With his newfound strength and sense of responsibility, the chief finally allows him to go, reminding him to return as quickly as possible.

Accompanied by Ziyun, Xiao Budian travels back across the devastated wilderness. When he finally reaches the former Stone Village, nothing remains except broken ruins. The heartbreaking sight confirms that everything they once knew has vanished.

Rather than giving in to despair, Xiao Budian leaves clear signs behind so that if his parents ever arrive, they can follow the trail to the village's new home. It is a touching moment that shows his deep love for his family despite all the chaos surrounding him.

Just as they prepare to leave, Xiao Budian discovers a small creature barely clinging to life beneath the rubble. It is an injured Wei Monkey that somehow survived the catastrophe. Feeling immediate compassion, Xiao Budian rescues the tiny beast and jokingly gives it the nickname "Mao Qiu" because of its fluffy appearance. Ziyun quickly corrects him by explaining that the creature actually belongs to the rare Wei Monkey race.

The episode closes on a hopeful note. Although the Great Wilderness has fallen and Stone Village has lost its ancestral homeland, Xiao Budian has completed a life-changing breakthrough, survived the greatest disaster of his childhood, and gained a mysterious new companion. These events mark the true beginning of his journey toward becoming one of the strongest cultivators in Perfect World, while setting the stage for even greater adventures in the episodes ahead.
