Perfect World (Wanmei Shijie) Episode 3 Recap: Blue Scale Eagle vs Ancient Lion

Perfect World (Wanmei Shijie) Episode 3 Recap

One fearless decision changes everything as Xiao Budian leaves the safety of Stone Village, uncovers powerful Beast Runes, and steps into a battlefield where survival depends on courage rather than strength.

The episode 3 of Perfect World (Wanmei Shijie) starts with Stone Village officially welcoming the Blue Scale Eagle into the village after the incredible events of the previous episode. The villagers believe the divine willow's blessing has enlightened the majestic beast, making it a trusted guardian instead of a threat. Even more surprising, the eagle leaves behind its young chick under the protection of the sacred willow. Xiao Budian happily gives the little eagle the name Ziyun, marking the beginning of a heartwarming friendship that may become important in future adventures.

While playing with Ziyun, Xiao Budian notices mysterious rune-like patterns appearing across the young eagle's body. These glowing symbols constantly change shape, becoming more complicated than the stars in the night sky. Instead of ordinary markings, they are revealed to be Beast Soul Runes, ancient symbols capable of passing down the secret techniques of powerful spirit beasts. Fascinated by the discovery, Xiao Budian studies every movement of the runes with remarkable concentration.

His extraordinary talent immediately becomes obvious. Unlike ordinary cultivators who spend years trying to understand Beast Runes, Xiao Budian quickly grasps the essence of the Blue Scale Eagle's divine technique. Before long, he can already imitate the eagle's mysterious movement technique. Even the experienced adults of Stone Village are shocked that such a young child has learned something so advanced with almost no guidance. The village elders quietly realize that Xiao Budian's natural talent is far beyond normal expectations.

Meanwhile, the peaceful atmosphere changes when news arrives from the dangerous wilderness. Deep inside the Ancient Lion Tomb lies the corpse of an incredibly powerful ancient lion. Such a treasure naturally attracts countless fierce beasts hoping to consume its flesh and blood to strengthen themselves. Stone Village decides to organize a hunting expedition to retrieve the ancient lion's precious blood for Xiao Budian's upcoming body purification ceremony, a ritual essential for building an exceptional cultivation foundation.

Before leaving, the village elders repeatedly remind Lin Hu and the other hunters that protecting their lives is more important than bringing back treasure. The dangerous wilderness is filled with unknown predators, and no one knows what terrifying creatures have already gathered around the lion's remains.

Unable to ignore the risk everyone is taking for his sake, Xiao Budian secretly follows the hunting party into the wilderness. When the adults discover him, they immediately scold the mischievous child and order him to return home. Xiao Budian sincerely explains that everyone is risking their lives only because of his purification ceremony. Since he has already mastered the Blue Scale Eagle's Beast Technique, he believes he can contribute instead of hiding safely in the village. His determination softens the hunters' hearts, and although they remain worried, they allow him to stay close under careful supervision.

As the group approaches the Ancient Lion Tomb, the atmosphere becomes increasingly tense. Strange crystal forests surround massive piles of ancient bones, revealing that countless powerful beasts have died there over countless years. The hunters quickly realize they are not alone. Numerous predators have also sensed the ancient lion's remains, turning the entire region into a deadly battlefield.

Without warning, wild beasts launch a sudden attack. Chaos erupts as the hunters desperately defend themselves while trying to keep Xiao Budian safe. During the confusion, Xiao Budian accidentally becomes separated from the others. Although the adults repeatedly call his name, the frightened child is forced to survive alone in one of the most dangerous places imaginable.

Instead of panicking, Xiao Budian carefully observes the battlefield. He notices that many beasts have already been killed by something even stronger lurking nearby. Every discovery reminds him that the greatest threat has not yet revealed itself. Soon, the hunters encounter a seemingly dead beast, but Xiao Budian quickly realizes something is wrong. Before anyone can react, the creature suddenly attacks, proving that appearances can be dangerously deceptive in the wilderness.

The hunters retreat toward an old wooden bridge, but enormous monsters continue pursuing them. Realizing nobody will escape unless someone delays the beasts, Xiao Budian makes an unbelievable decision. Despite being only a child, he volunteers to stay behind while everyone else crosses to safety. Using the Blue Scale Eagle Technique he recently learned, he unleashes powerful rune energy to slow the charging monsters. Although the technique succeeds, the tremendous spiritual strain quickly exhausts him, leaving him isolated on the opposite side of the bridge.

Back in Stone Village, everyone desperately searches for a way to rescue him. Since the broken bridge and surrounding monsters make a ground rescue impossible, they remember their only hope—the Blue Scale Eagle. Because the majestic beast can fly directly into the dangerous region, the villagers immediately seek its help.

Meanwhile, Xiao Budian wanders deeper into the Ancient Lion Tomb, where the true rulers of the wilderness finally appear. First comes the terrifying Gorilla Demon, followed by the fearsome Fire Horn Bull Demon. These legendary creatures possess overwhelming strength, making Xiao Budian realize that even his newly learned Beast Technique cannot protect him forever.

Remembering stories told by the village elders, Xiao Budian realizes the Gorilla Demon has long been an enemy of the Ancient Lion. Before the monsters can turn their attention toward him, the Blue Scale Eagle arrives just in time, responding to the villagers' desperate request. Xiao Budian gratefully thanks his feathered protector, believing his nightmare is finally over.

However, the greatest danger has yet to reveal itself. The supposedly dead Ancient Lion suddenly opens its eyes. It had only pretended to be dead all along, patiently waiting for other powerful beasts to approach before launching a surprise attack. The shocking twist transforms the battlefield into an all-out clash between legendary monsters.

The Blue Scale Eagle bravely fights to protect Xiao Budian despite suffering severe injuries during the fierce battle. Eventually, the Ancient Lion is finally defeated, allowing the villagers to recover its priceless body. Everyone celebrates what seems to be a miraculous victory as they return toward Stone Village.

Their relief proves short-lived. During the journey home, Xiao Budian notices the Blue Scale Eagle becoming weaker with every step. After examining its condition, he realizes the majestic beast has been poisoned during the battle. Knowing every second matters, Xiao Budian prepares to seek help from the village. Before he can leave, a mysterious stranger suddenly appears and asks a single question: "Who are you?"

The unexpected arrival immediately creates another cliffhanger, suggesting Xiao Budian's adventure is only becoming more dangerous. Episode 3 not only showcases his astonishing learning ability and fearless personality but also expands the world's cultivation system through Beast Soul Runes, introduces several powerful wilderness monsters, and proves that courage alone can sometimes rival overwhelming strength. The final mysterious encounter perfectly sets the stage for the next chapter of Perfect World, where Xiao Budian's destiny continues to unfold.
