The episode 14 of Wanmei Shijie starts with Shi Hao wandering into the peaceful courtyard of Butian Pavilion where he unexpectedly discovers the Pavilion's ancient Sacrificial Spirit. The enormous divine tree radiates an overwhelming rune aura that immediately catches his attention. Unlike many cultivators who would be intimidated, Shi Hao notices that the spirit appears weak and exhausted. Remembering the guardian spirit from Stone Village, he kindly asks whether the tree is sick and even compares its condition to the village guardian that slowly recovered with time.

Instead of leaving, Shi Hao decides to cultivate beneath the ancient tree because its powerful spiritual energy creates the perfect environment for cultivation. Although the Sacrificial Spirit never speaks, it silently accepts the young disciple's presence. Shi Hao also learns that Shi Yi and many of the world's greatest young prodigies will participate in the upcoming expedition. Hearing Shi Yi's name immediately strengthens Shi Hao's determination.
