Iori's Train Ride Takes an Unexpected Turn
The latest episode wastes no time picking up the comedy after the previous misunderstanding before shifting the focus to Iori's trip home. What begins as a quiet train ride quickly turns into another bizarre Grand Blue situation when Iori and his friends encounter a loud group of foreign tourists arguing over costumes and anime-style characters.
Although neither Iori nor Kohei can properly understand what the visitors are saying, the conversation somehow escalates into an unexpected drinking competition. The tourists mistake Iori's poor alcohol tolerance for weakness, challenging the pride of the PaB members. Iori immediately accepts the challenge, insisting that no matter what else they lose at, drinking is one contest they refuse to lose. Naturally, the competition becomes complete chaos before finally ending with everyone apologizing after things nearly get out of control.
Iori Returns to the Kitahara Ryokan for His Passport
Once the group arrives at the Kitahara Ryokan, the episode shifts toward its main storyline. Iori immediately asks his mother for his passport because he plans to travel to Palau. However, he quickly learns that Shiori has already taken it. Rather than handing it back, she bluntly refuses his request and tells him he should simply remain at the family ryokan instead of leaving again.
Why Shiori Refuses to Return Iori's Passport
Despite repeatedly asking how he can earn the passport back, Shiori only gives him vague advice about becoming a better person and improving his life. Every attempt to negotiate ends in failure, leaving Iori increasingly desperate.

Some guests become fascinated by Shiori because they believe she closely resembles Kirara Yoimachi, a younger sister character from Blue Spring . Their enthusiasm makes both Shiori and Chisa visibly uncomfortable, forcing Iori to step in and tell the guests to leave them alone before the situation becomes even more awkward.
The unexpected return of the foreign tourists only makes matters worse. Instead of causing another major incident, they flee after spotting a nearby police officer, bringing their second encounter with Iori's group to an abrupt end.
Why the Foreign Tourists Become Interested in Shiori
Later, the mystery surrounding their behavior becomes much clearer. A woman named Carina introduces herself and apologizes for her companions. She explains that the two tourists simply have a strong admiration for Japanese girls and became especially excited because they believed Shiori looked almost identical to Kirara Yoimachi. Carina also warns that the pair may continue causing problems if someone does not stop them.
That revelation immediately convinces Kohei that Shiori could be targeted again later that night.
Iori and Kohei Come Up With a New Plan
Kohei's concerns grow even stronger after realizing he has accidentally lost a blueprint showing the layout of the Kitahara Ryokan. Fearing the tourists might find the map and use it to sneak inside, Kohei declares that protecting Shiori has become his highest priority.
Iori, however, has a very different motivation.
Rather than thinking only about Shiori's safety, he realizes that successfully protecting his younger sister might finally persuade her to return his passport. The result is another hilarious rivalry as both Iori and Kohei imagine themselves becoming Shiori's favorite older brother for completely different reasons.
The episode continues piling on absurd misunderstandings when Iori discovers someone has secretly replaced his clothes with a Kirara costume.
